STIAN_NAKED CARA AD CLEARED_IMAGE002

A PERFUME ad showing supermodel Cara Delevingne naked has been cleared by watchdogs…who say the the ad was ‘sexually suggestive’ but not ‘sexually explicit’.
The massive billboard ad showed the 22-year-old star, who won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2012 and 2014, lying naked on her front exposing part of her right breast and her buttocks.
Two people complained after seeing the huge ad for Tom Ford’s Black Orchid perfume on the corner of a building in Brick Lane in east London.
They contacted the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) saying the ad was ‘inappropriate for display’ as children could see it – and that it was close to churches and mosques.
The complainants also said the ad was offensive as it was ‘degrading’ and that it ‘objectified women’.
Bosses at the ASA, however, refused to ban the ad, saying that despite Cara Delevigne ‘clearly being naked’ – showing ‘much of one of her breasts’ and a ‘profile of her buttocks’ – the ad was not offensive.
