Female orgasm

ask-fanny

Question

Dear Fanny,  How do I know if I’ve made my girlfriend cum?  I think she does and she says she does, but I want to be sure.

Zack

Answer

Ahhhh the beautiful, mysterious, sometimes elusive wonder that is the female orgasm.  Well Zack, statistics show that around 10-15% of women never reach the Big O and a staggering 75% can’t achieve orgasm through intercourse alone.  That is they need the added aid of sex toys, fingers and/or oral sex.

Of course these numbers may or may not apply to your lady, I’m just putting it out there that some women need that extra bit of effort if you want to blow their mind with your sexual prowess.

As for faking it…*sighs* women who fake it are doing themselves, their partners or the rest of the female population no favours!  I understand it’s a very sensitive issue and they may not want to hurt their partners feelings, but if they don’t discuss when guys are getting wrong, how are they ever going to get it right!? (obviously that works both ways people).

Ok, so signs of a real orgasm are more than likely going to be:  A quickening of breathing, increased temperature/heart rate, tension in the muscles (especially the abdomen) and contraction of the inner muscles.

Now some of those signs can be faked, but a serial faker isn’t likely to bother with the technical aspects, choosing instead to go with the theatrics of moaning, groaning and thrashing about the place.

The majority of women don’t orgasm without at least minimal effort on your part.  So a good rule of thumb in my book is if you don’t feel like you’ve earnt it, you probably haven’t.  The only way to be absolutely positive is to talk to her and trust her response.
