You can start buying them up on June 1, but until then, The Internet Corporation For Assigned Names And Numbers has offered a grace period to celebrities and major corporations, to allow them to purchase them ahead of time.
Being chosen for this honour is like a fancier version of having a tick on Twitter, and in theory, it means that people can’t buy up domains like yourname.porn, and then sell them back to you later for a hugely inflated price.
CNN Money report that the likes of Microsoft have already stepped in and started buying up suspect domains, and recently, Taylor Swift did the same
Ms Swift’s management have snapped up the likes of taylorswift.porn and taylorswift.adult, before you can get your dirty little mits on them. Savvy girl if you ask me and no doubt her sexy celeb friends will follow suit.
