pornblocksDavid Cameron – who recently pushed ahead with legislation which could see WhatsApp, iMessage and other chat apps BANNED in the UK – could have to backtrack over his mandatory online porn filters.

The Prime Minister announced measures to stop the hard-core porn “in the darkest corners of the internet” from “corroding childhood”.

“For a lot of children, watching hard-core pornography is in danger of becoming a rite of passage,” David Cameron told the NSPCC, back in July 2013.

“I will do whatever it takes to keep our children safe.”

However – a new EU law could force David Cameron to retract the obligatory porn filters.

The proposed legislation – dubbed the Single Telecoms Market law – proposes unifying “net neutrality” to protect an “open Internet” across the European Union.
